Hanshi Jim Curtis is the founder and executive director of the North American Self-Defense Association. He has over 50 years of experience in the martial arts and holds a 10th Degree Grandmaster's rank in both traditional karate and practical self-defense. He is also a United States Marine Corps combat veteran with a BA Degree in education through Central Washington University.
